The rapid spread of COVID-19 has resulted in a public health crisis challenging the world we live in. Our healthcare system has been severely impacted and our community’s most vulnerable, seniors and/or those with underlying health conditions remain at risk. Currently, 51% of Illinois’ population is fully vaccinated and we are steadily on a path to recovery. As of June, SSUMC has safely re-opened its doors for in-person worship and praise. We ask all joining us for Sunday morning service to wear face masks, undergo temperature checks and social distance in the sanctuary. We are praying for continual progress and for our most vulnerable. Let’s care for one another by staying safe, continue to get tested and encouraging our brothers and sisters in Christ to get vaccinated.
